How is the Story of Genesis and Scientific Fact Related?
Starting with Genesis
How is Genesis, the First Book in the Bible Similar to the Scientific Version of Creation?
1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth. 2Now
the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and
the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
Analysis
of Passages 1-2: The universe has no beginning and no end for this is a
mystery of God as he created all. In this sector of the universe, God choose to
initiate a sequence of events, the renewal of life of a grand scale to where it
involves the birth of the galaxy or a localized big bang out of a massive black
hole in the center of this sector. The Earth coalesced with its surface basically flat,
hydrogen burned in its primitive oxygenated atmosphere and water rained down and
covered the entire Earth and cooled its crust forming one massive ocean.
And the Almighty hovered above as he admired another one of his great creations.
3And
God said “Let there be light’ and there was light. 4God saw that
the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5God
call the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was
evening, and there was morning – the first day.
Analysis
of Passages 3-5: God in wisdom dictated the behavior atoms, gravity
particles and
the elements, for he created all that there is to see. Would a not
spiritual being of infinite wisdom and power and the ability to produce physical
matter by mere thought, be able to control the simple processes such as the
fusion process of the Sun? The process starts with iron in its purest form,
charged and attracting other like elements thru the forces of gravity magnetism with
rogue hydrogen and other light
elements trapped in between. The gravitational attraction gathers the hydrogen
around its core until compression and movement of the hydrogen through the core
initiates a fusion reaction, which expands throughout the inner core and
radiates until the mass can not absorb all the energy and the star lights. The
Earth with its molten core of iron initiated circular motion as one part the
core was attracted to various parts of the universe and over shoots and starts
the process again thus
maintaining rotation of the core, the by product of this action drags the crust
initiating rotational spin about its axis creating day and night.
All of this is God’s plan.
6And
god said, “Let there be and expanse between the waters to separate water from
water.” 7So God made
the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it.
And it was so. 8God called the expanse “sky.” And there was
evening, morning – the second day.
Analysis of Passages 6-8:
Nitrogen, oxygen and other gases escaped from the water due to bleeding due to
the pressure variances of solid matter vs. conditions representing a near vacuum
just above the surface of the primitive Earth and some due to chemical
reactions. The Earth’s first
primitive atmosphere was born and expanded, one of its qualities diffuses light
by changing the sharp change of day to night towards the soft subtle touch of
shades evening and dawn and primitive building blocks of life spawned by light
and rich nutrient oceans formed, truly a gift from God.
9And
God said, “let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry
ground appear.” And it was so. 10God called the dry ground
“land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it
was good.
Analysis
of Passages 9-10: Earth, one the most beautiful places in God’s universe
has a cataclysmic collision, pushing most of its waters into space and the rest
settling into the wound, what is now known as the Pacific Ocean. Thus, fresh land
appears as the general water table falls by thousands of feet and momentum from the impact carries it onto closer orbit increasing its
warmth and the evolution primitive life accelerates in the oceans. A process
started by God is not some random electrical disturbance sparking the creation of
the basic building blocks of life, which cannot be duplicated in a laboratory.
11Then
God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed- bearing plants and trees on
the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their kinds and the trees
bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And it was so. 12The
land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds. And God
saw that it was good. 13And there was evening, and there was morning
– the third day
Analysis of Passages 11-13: It is here where science has to realize that there is a God, for only he and his angels have seeded the Earth. Lets not even think of comets, because then you will have to admit life started somewhere else and we are not alone. How did the spark of life live evolve in the void of space for eons near absolute zero (which does not exist)? Plus again what started the original seed? You still have to come back to the source, God.
Again it is God’s plan to propagate
a planet with a variety of life and then let evolution refine the species suited
best for the environment. This is where Creationism fits into
the grand scheme.
14And
God said “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day
from the night,” and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and
years, 15and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give
light on earth.” And it was so. 16God made two great lights – the
greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He
also made the stars. 17God set them in the expanse of the sky to give
light on the earth, 18to govern the day and the night. And to
separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19And
there was evening and there was morning – the fourth day
Analysis
of Passages 14-19: After eons have past, the orbit of the Earth settled and
its tilt has askew 23.5 degrees from the dominant magnetic field of the Sun due to constant passages of
planet, this affects a process setting into motion the seasons and with it
markers in the sky, the constellations, positions are related to the seasons of the
Earth. Its rotation settled into a 24-hour period and it was known as a day. The
orbital velocity stabilized and its period was then measured as a year. The
original collision resulted in the gravitational capture of the object that
struck the Earth, now known as its Moon, the lesser light to govern the night.
This was not by accident, but by plan, God's plan.
20And
God said, “ Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above
the earth across the expanse of the sky.” 21So God created the
great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the
water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its
kind. And God saw that it was good. 22God blessed them and said,
“Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let
the birds increase on the earth.” 23And there was evening and there
was morning – the fifth day.
Analysis
of Passages 20-23: Here the Almighty is
specifying the life forms related to the water and air were created, not by a
process unknown to man and not by evolution from primitive strains of life that
mutated. If something new appeared that was different would the not the fold
abandon or kill the mutant? Can a dog mutate to a cat or some other species, no,
evolution explains variations within a species, but fails to account for the
many varieties and how it was achieved. So the process of life in the oceans and air was
initiated by creation, but modified by evolution, all of which was God’s plan.
24And
God said, “ Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds:
livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each
according to their kinds.” And it was so. 25God made the wild
animals according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the
ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
Analysis
of Passages 24-25: The same process occurred with the land animals as
with what happened in the ocean. The least complex animals reigned first, which
gave rise to the reptilian dinosaurs and then mammals due to natural selection
dictated by the environment.
26 Then God said, “ Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Analysis of Passages 26: In this passage the word of God states that he and others are responsible for the creation of man. DNA analysis concludes that modern man did not evolve from any known species of ancient man, like the Neanderthal, a version that died out, but was modified.
Answers to other questions that will help bridge the gap between spirituality and science.
If God created the Universe, Earth and man in 6 days and rested on the seventh how is this possible if the Universe is allegedly billions of years old, the Earth 4 billions old and mankind a couple of million years old and what about the dinosaurs?
When the Bible was written and inspired by the Almighty, the passage of a day something that man could related to was used to describe an interval of time between a set of events, but for God and other higher beings the passage of time is different for each level or density in the Universe. So for God who operates and creates in all densities, the passage of a day for him in the creation of the Earth ranged from billions of years down to millions depending upon what was for the good. The wisdom of his creation written in the Bible was meant to inspire those on a simple level for a developing spiritual life form and not to be scrutinized by men of science with few answers. It was not meant for man in primitive times to equate parrallel universes and the differentials of time, but only to concentrate on that there is a God.
This also explains how the dinosaurs are millions of years old while the Bible has Adam on Earth only for several thousands of years.
Darwin gave us his Theory of Evolution and it is responsible for the rise of all life forms on Earth. The Bible states all life was created by God. So how does it all fit and incorporate the fact of the missing link in mankind's evolution?
I will address Darwin's Theory of Evolution and What part did Creationism play in the Origin of the Species?
Is it true that woman was created from Adam's rib?
It is true, those assisting God (verse 26) in the creation of mankind used the genetic material contained within the rib to clone a female version of the physical prototype of man. The true creation, the breath of life, his and hers' spirit is God's only.
Only by embracing him will those seeking answers to the mysteries of life and science be granted, with knowledge comes responsibility.
