They seem like a Good Idea at First, But on the Back Side They Slowly Destroy America

Low Cost Housing

Many Administrations have been guilty of this, as is not a Democratic or Republican issue. It is an American issue, which is not providing an economically viable choice for affordable housing for low income citizens. Currently there is tepid endeavors to provide housing for the poor, but administration management rewards their donor class and acquires property in middle class areas creating local opposition. Now you say, why is this an issue?

Yes I do understand, that this does give an example to elevate new arrivals, but it also creates descent among the locals, as the new locals bring traits and habits from their old locations to a new neighborhood, which is not the norm. It takes home ownership to shed those traits, as a start and years to change. Plus it places strains the local public transportation systems. So the relocation experiment fails. So lets look at what occurs in the real world.

The common citizen is aware of gentrification. Where a group of motivated citizens with money invests into an area of urban blight. Financially the group is buying at the bottom and then because of their status are heavily protected by the police. More move in and force up the property values and taxes. It is the local apartments, that are affected first. Rents rise and the poor are forced out. This is the current pattern in New York City and now other cities. One would ask, why would the administration of these cities choose to build low cost housing on expensive land, rather than the cheap land available in the inner city? Donor friends who own the land slated for development or it is incompetence.

This nation is at one of many crossroads to come. Why would you invite millions to come in with a lack of language and low skill sets into your cities? Considering you do not have enough housing for your veterans and the poor already present. Lets not even go on to consider the homeless. This policy has serious ramifications for all in America. It hurts the poor who choose to work without government assistance to sacrifice, because of rent increases. The current policy floods major cities with at least 100,000 illegal migrants. Those that leave the shelters, form a family group 10 to twenty to rent an apartment or home. The demand drives up housing costs in the general neighborhoods, but you do not see this. Your politicians never think issues through, but they can smile, give you false hope and raise money from those who would financially gain by certain political choices. You need to realize the game, that is being played at your expense and the misuse of your tax payer funds.

The administration has no clue of how to run a business. Lets invite the world to lower the cost of labor to corporations, so we can excel like China. This is the distraction. On the back side housing costs rise due to simple supply and demand issues. America suffers as the common citizen has yet, to connect the dots.
